I have to be honest here - don't know why but I always passed by the Glenisk yogurts... I used to stick with the brands I know (which I knew even when living in Poland). I've heard a lot about Glenisk and saw a lot of their products on the supermarket shelves, but never put in in my basket... well that's about to change!!!

The new Pure Original range is fantastic! I love the taste of the natural yogurt. No sugar, nothing more than milk and live bacterias to create smooth, creamy and light yogurt. But my favourite one is the blueberry. It reminds me of my childhood summers. My Granddad used to take me into the forest for some foraging... we would pick wild mushrooms, pine cones and... wild blueberries. I would take them home, mix with some sugar and cream or plain yogurt and eat. That very same taste and those happy memories were brought back to me thanks to the Glenisk Pure Original Blueberry yogurt. It's the very same thing! Or as close to my childhood treat as it could be! I had to put a little bit of sugar into it, but purely because the fruits were a little bit bitter - which is only natural. The BIG plus for me with this particular yogurt, is the fact that those are the wild blueberries not those big (and not so yummy) American or Canadian ones.

I also had a chance to try strawberry & raspberry goat's milk yogurt and it's great. If you're not used to the taste of goat's milk you might like those yogurts. The goat's milk taste blends well with the fruits and it's not too strong. It was quite weird for me to have 'sweet version' of the goat's milk product as I'm used to goat's cheese and eating goat's cheese products in savoury dishes not sweet ones. Little Baby E (who is only 7 months old) loves the goat's milk yogurts so it's another big thumb up from me towards the Genisk!

I like the Glenisk's philosophy and the fact that all their products are organic. Everything is sourced locally, or as much locally as it can be done. If you can try the new Pure Original range as well as goat's milk yogurts.

    1. Edith,
for 100 g of yogurt they have 4g fat, so if you're looking at it as you would look at milk - yes, they would be full-fat.

  2. Anula, very interesting - are these yogurt liquid or thick?
I am preparing by myself yogurt from goat milk - and it's always has a runny-liquid consistence (but very tasty) from 4.7 % fat milk ,purchased in local store.

    1. I've never tried to make my own goat's milk yogurt. The one I buy from Glenisk is thick and creamy, it's full fat too. I've tried to make my own yogurt from cow's milk and it was quite runny - but I have a friend who makes yogurt all the time and his is nice and thick. I have to ask him if he has any 'hidden secrets' ;)
      Pozdrawiam, Anula.
