Chicken à la Chinese style...

It's à la Chinese style as I believe that if a Chinese person/chef/or anyone who is actually interested in Chinese cuisine see that... they will tell me that this has nothing to do with real Chinese food. It's only my interpretation. So please look at it with a bit of 'reserve' ;) I like real Chinese food, the one I'm getting from a chef who knows how and what to do. Sometimes I want something similar, with a bit of that unusual taste... and that's when I prepare dish like this. It's very quick and simple, just remember to have everything chopped/diced and ready before you start frying.



How to make it...


Ingredients:
- 1 big chicken breast
- marinade for the chicken: 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, salt, pepper, paprika
- 2 pok choi, chopped
- 1 big carrot, cut into thin long sticks
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 1 cm fresh ginger, chopped
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 pack (for 2 people) ready to use Singapore, rice, medium noddles

Take the chicken breast and cut into pieces. Marinade for minimum 30 minutes. Put the chicken into hot wok and fry. Add carrot, shallot, ginger and spices and fry for 3 minutes. Add a little of water if you thing the whole dish is too 'dry'. Pour the sweet chili sauce and mix well. Add the noddles, pok choi and stir fry for another 2 minutes till everything is pipping hot. Just before serving sprinkle some sesame seeds on the top. Serve hot.
